How it all begins
Soooo.... I AM IN ECUADOR!! haha. As I landed in Quito I had one of those what on earth am I doing moments. Haha. But I'm alright now, everything is going great. Pastor Lynford and my new friend Fernando picked me up. I am living with Fernando's family during my time here and they have been amazing. Fernando is learning english and has been a huge help adjusting and translating a bit. It has been great teaching each other. I am meeting with Lyford every few days to catch up on everything. Other than that I am completely emersed in Quito. I am in the city, however the house I am staying is very nice considering the surrounding area. I am meeting lots of people and Spanish is rapidly taking over my vocabulary and my mind. Most of my thoughts are in Spanish already. It has been a great time of getting to know the people and the area. Church was great. They have also taken me to see some of the sights inculuding one of the mountains surrounding the city. I will have pictures at some point in the future. Every thing has been great. Next week we will begin the construction on the church as we add another wall and eventually a second floor. The hardest part is simply being alone and stuggling with the language at times. It has been difficult being thrust alone into an entirely new culture and language. This is probably my biggest need in prayer is simply to not be so lonely, particularly at night and to continue to work on the language. It gets exhausting after a long day. I have no complaints though and so God has proven to be more than reliable and giving me tremedous blessings. Thanks again for the support and I can't wait to share more with you soon. I love you and God bless.

And I'm off
Sooo... Finally, after delay and the holidays, I am off and on my way to Ecuador. I am currently in the Alanta airport where I have spent the last 5 hours and still have at least another to go. My flight is currently delayed half and hour to 6:00. For those of you who have spent time in an airport, you can understand my boredome and certain frustration as information is scarce and one must constantly be alert for changes. I found that out the hard way last time I went through here and ended up spending the night. Haha. Thats another story tho. Currently though, I am in need of patience and alertness as I wait for my flight. Currently I am projected to land in Quito around 11:15, which is late enough but I pray that this is not dragged out any farther. I hope everyone had a terrific Christmas filled with joy and family and friends, but of course with the spirit of Christ, which, to be about as cliche as it gets, is the reason for the season. So, I wish every one the best and I look forward to updating you next from the equator. Thanks so much for your prayers and support and can't wait to get on with everything God has for me and in turn pass the news onto you. I love you all, have a great one.

When on earth am I leaving??
So, most of you i'm sure realize that i'm still here in the states. Well unfortunately I was not clear on the fact that they wanted ALL the money in before my ticket was purchased. So, December 1st came and went and I didn't have a ticket. Well I still don't but as of this morning everything was in. I am simply waiting for a response and an agreed date and the purchase of a ticket. So with all luck and God's blessing I should be out of here by the end of the month. PLEASE!! So, once I recieve my ticket I will purchase my health insurace and I will be off for 3 months. The current date was set for Monday the 15th but since that doesn't look probable, the date will probably be closer to the 25th, so I'd be home for Christmas. So, as an update, thats where I stand. While frustrating and unfortunate that I'm not gone, it will be nice to see many of you again before I leave. So hope all is well with ya'll, especially those amidst finals. I wish you all the best. Thanks again for all your support and I look forward to sharing my joyful experiences in Ecuador instead of my frustrating ones here in the states as soon as possible.
